It’s hard to say whether Chip Lindsey’s first year as offensive coordinator at Auburn has been a successful one.
Kerryon Johnson was named the SEC’s Offensive Player of the Year. Jarrett Stidham was special in Auburn’s two biggest wins of the season over top-ranked teams Georgia and Alabama. Auburn’s offensive front was one of three finalists for the Joe Moore Award.
However, the offense was a shell of itself in the SEC title game with Johnson being “75 percent” due to a shoulder injury. Georgia made key adjustments, Auburn didn’t, and the Bulldogs, not the Tigers, are headed to Pasadena to play second-seed Oklahoma in the College Football Playoff.
