ATLANTA – Auburn and Georgia are meeting for the second time in three weeks Saturday, and Tigers coach Gus Malzahn apparently thought there was a good chance the teams would play twice.

Auburn rolled to a 40-17 win over Georgia on November 11, and Malzahn was prophetic at midfield during the traditional post-game coaches’ handshake.

“We’ll see you in Atlanta,” Malzahn was supposedly overheard saying to Smart.

Smart’s response? “I’ll let Nick (Saban) know you said that.”

At the time, Georgia already had clinched the SEC East title, while Auburn still had to beat Alabama to get to Atlanta.
