Auburn coach Gus Malzahn wants a full gauge of a potential coaching hire’s character. He said one way to get it is to check social media accounts.
Malzahn said during a recent interview on the Ronnie Floyd Podcast the social media check is one of the first steps in the hiring process.
“You can find out so much. Nowadays, young people will share everything. You can find out their character, their girlfriend,” Malzahn said. “We definitely keep up with that. At the same time, no doubt when you’re hiring a coach or hiring an off-the-field person, we’re going to start with their social media.
