Auburn hasn’t done well on CBS lately. Today was no exception, falling to Kentucky in Lexington 80-53. It really wasn’t that close, either, as Auburn never had a shot in the second half.
Kentucky blitzed the Tigers from start to finish, getting 24 points from a red-hot PJ Washington, and hitting 55% of their shots in the win. Auburn went cold for long stretches, shooting only 32% on the day as they fall back to 7-7 in the SEC. Kentucky, meanwhile, improves to 12-2 in the league.
A frenetic game for the opening minutes, the two teams played more than eight minutes before the first stoppage, wherein Kentucky led 16-10 at the first timeout.
