Auburn plays Mercer today for Homecoming, and while we expect an easy win, there are a few things we’d like to see:
I stress no sacks. If Mercer’s defensive line gets in and takes down Jarrett Stidham once or twice, It’ll be like Daniel Day-Lewis’ magnum acting opus There Will Be Blood, renamed There Will Be Boos, which we can’t have.
As for the other stuff, we need to see a great revamping of the passing game. Maybe Chip Lindsey’s move to the press box will help, but who knows. It’ll definitely help him see the field more, and maybe Herb Hand’s move down to the field will allow him to get in his offensive line’s grill for a little extra motivation.
