Former Auburn LB Gregg Carr to be honored during Iron Bowl as NFF College Football Hall of Fame electee

Gregg Carr spent most of the early 1980s terrorizing opposing offenses as one of the leaders of Auburn's defense. During his four-year career, Carr recorded 453 tackles, which still ranks second in program history.

The former linebacker also ranks second in the record books with 289 total tackles, earning First Team All-American honors as a senior in 1984. During his time on the Plains, Auburn, led by Pat Dye, won an SEC title and three bowl games, including the 1984 Sugar Bowl that helped Auburn claim a share of the 1983 national title.

On Saturday, Carr will be honored during the annual Iron Bowl game as a new electee into the NFF College Football Hall of Fame.
