Auburn's Daniel Carlson didn't win the Lou Groza Award as the nation's top kicker Thursday night, but don't underestimate what he meant to the Tigers this season.
"What he did for us this year was unbelievable, when you think about the pressure kicks that he made," said Auburn coach Gus Malzahn. "He's one of the best and we're rooting for him. The season he's had for us has been phenomenal."
UCLA's Ka'imi Fairbair won the Groza Award at the Home Depot 25th Anniversary College Football Awards show in Atlanta.
