is one of 109 nominees on the Danny Wuerffel Trophy watch list. The Wuerffel Trophy, presented by the All Sports Association, is given to an individual who best combines commendable community service with athletic and academic success.
This is Carlson’s second consecutive season to make the Wuerffel Trophy watch list.
Carlson has placed on the All-America second team in consecutive seasons and is a two-time first team all-SEC performer. The returning senior was named SEC Special Teams Player of the Year in 2016.
Carlson’s success off the field also speaks volumes. The Colorado Springs, Colo. native has been placed on the SEC Academic Honor Roll since his arrival at Auburn in 2013.
