Daniel Carlson makes the cut for 2017 Wuerffel Trophy

AUBURN, Ala. – On Thursday, Auburn senior Daniel Carlson was selected as one of the 11 semifinalists for the 2017 Wuerffel Trophy, known as “College Football’s Premier Award for Community Service.” Over 100 players in college football were initially nominated for the award.

“Each year I'm amazed by the quality of student athletes who are nominated by their schools, and this year is no different,” former Florida quarterback Danny Wuerffel said. “Not only is it very difficult to pick a winner, it's also a struggle to select the semifinalists.
