Auburn has a great kicker in Daniel Carlson. The sophomore has made 61 consecutive conversion kicks after a touchdown in his career. And his field goal Saturday in the Georgia Dome set a record for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game. It also brought the him recognition from the South Eastern Conference as the SEC Special Team’s Player of the Week.
The 56 yard kick tied the school record for the third longest in school history and was a personal record for Daniel. His previous longest kick was a 51 yarder against Wisconsin in last year’s Out Back Bowl.
