AUBURN, Ala. – Brenda Kigen broke the freshman record in the 3,000 meters on day two of the Tiger Track Classic at Hutsell-Rosen Track on Saturday. Kigen’s mark of 9:34.59 also set the Hutsell-Rosen Track facility record, previously set by Veronica Eder at the Tiger Track Classic last season. On the day, the Auburn men and women combined for 11 event wins and 13 personal bests on Saturday.
“Today was a really good day for us as a team,” Auburn head coach Ralph Spry said. “We had some really strong marks that should be some strong times nationally and our team really competed well overall.
