Less that 24 hours after losing a nail-biter to the Auburn Tigers, 13-18, Ross Dellenger of the Baton Rouge Advocate has reported the firing of head coach Les Miles and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron. Multiple sources have confirmed the firing.
Miles, who led the Tigers to three SEC West titles, two SEC championships and one national title, leaves in the beginning of his 12th season as the LSU Tigers continue to struggle to start the season.
Ed Orgeron is reported to take the position of interim coach. Speculation will now begin as to who will take the head coach position of the LSU Bengal Tigers and how long will the search take.
