AUBURN, Ala. – Niko Buentello was 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and Gabe Klobosits pitched a career-high 8.0 innings as Auburn baseball defeated Troy 7-2 on Tuesday at Plainsman Park.
“Buentello had a great series at Alabama and continued that tonight using all parts of the field and getting three big RBI,” Auburn head coach Butch Thompson said. “We played offense late and had a good night. Iron sharpens iron with our guys. Melvin (Gray) also had a big night with three hits and two runs for us.”
Klobosits was dominant over eight innings with on a career-high 102 pitches.
