Following a lackluster, frustrating, and all-around bland Mizzou victory against UConn on Saturday, I made the walk back from Faurot Field exhausted, and already on edge with a frustrating offensive performance from my “other” Tigers. Making it back just following the 2:30 kickoff from Baton Rouge, I turned on the television in the lounge and was greeted with a 71-yard opening run from Leonard Fournette. Every ounce of hope that I had at that point had been washed away. “This is going to be a long game,” I thought as I slumped back in my chair, preparing for the brutal beatdown that awaited.
