Lost in the news hype that comes this time of year with the Super Bowl, is the fact the Auburn Women’s Basketball Team are playing some pretty good ball. The Tigers completed a season sweep of arch rival Alabama Sunday with a 59-55 victory in Tuscaloosa.
It was the third consecutive win for Auburn (16-8). The Tigers led by one point at the half and built a 15-point lead in the third quarter. Alabama (14-10) did close the gap to three points in the final minutes, but Auburn shut the door with clutch free throw shooting to seal the win.
