With a new head coach coming on board, it was to be expected that some Auburn Tigers from last year's roster would hit the transfer portal, but several surprising players who were key pieces of the team parted ways with the program.
Under new NCAA rules, the only transfer portal window that is open is from Jan. 2 to Jan. 16, and all players— including grad transfers— are bound to that window. So far, 34 former Auburn football players have hit the portal, and a number of them have committed to SEC rivals.
