Playoff hopeful Auburn looked sloppy Saturday in its matchup against UL Monroe. The Tigers still ended up winning 42-14. Though it is now officially Iron Bowl week, here are some takeaways from Auburn’s ninth win of the season.
Auburn’s offense shows balance
Despite a slow start – Auburn’s second TD came in the final 1:30 of the first half – the Tigers still had balanced production. The Tigers ran for 312 yards and threw for 235. The ground attack was led by Kerryon Johnson, who had 137 yards and a score. The offensive numbers were even more balanced before backups starred on the final scoring drive.
