No position needed more help immediately from this recruiting class than the safety position. With Tray Matthews, Stephen Roberts and Nick Ruffin all graduating at the end of the 2017 season, the Auburn coaching staff knew they needed to land some early impact players at this position in the 2018 class.
Hailing from Jensen Beach, FL, Sherwood is an old school football player. He has played basically every position for his team outside of offensive line and defensive tackle. He’s a guy that clearly loves contact and thrives off of competition.
To me, Sherwood is at his best when he’s playing close to the line of scrimmage.
