Auburn secondary could be shorthanded on A-Day

Auburn's secondary, rebuilt this spring under the guidance of Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson, may have to wait to make its debut until the Tigers take the field in September.

Three projected starters were either held out of Tuesday's practice or forced to wear orange non-contact jerseys due to nagging injuries.

Cornerback Jonathan Jones, who has been limited all spring, wasn't in full pads, fellow cornerback Joshua Holsey and safety Tray Matthews were forced to wear orange.

"(Holsey and Matthews) got a little nicked up (in Saturday's scrimmage)," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said.  "They should be OK.
