Auburn picked up its 11th commitment Tuesday when three-star safety Jamien Sherwood pledged to the Tigers.
Sherwood (6 feet 2, 195 pounds), from Jensen Beach (Fla.) High near West Palm Beach, chose Auburn over Miami.
He is considered one of the top-35 safeties nationally and is a top-65 player in Florida.
Sherwood is the first pure defensive back in the class, though Auburn has commitments from two athletes who could play in the secondary. In addition, Sherwood is the third Floridian in the class.
