It happens every year. Auburn football’s spring game rolls around and all of a sudden we’re practically drowning in offseason optimism and somehow everyone seems convinced the Tigers are going to the National Championship. It’s fun to think that way, and everyone wants to think that way, but the truth is that A-Day is what it is–just a spring scrimmage.
However, this year’s spring game was more special than in years past for several reasons. For one, there was no spring game last year thanks to the Coronavirus, so the fact that college football’s spring schedule is on track this year makes us very thankful.
