We all remember how crazy January was for the Auburn football community–Gus Malzahn fired, Kevin Steele as interim coach at two different schools in 18 days, a roller coaster ride of a coaching search, and then Bryan Harsin was hired!
For a while, it seemed that Steele, former Auburn football defensive coordinator, was intent on replacing Gus Malzahn at the helm of the program. However, after coaching the Tigers in the Citrus Bowl loss to Northwestern, Steele lost the interim coaching job and the goodwill of most Auburn fans.
