While it was all but a definite the past week, former Auburn football QB Joey Gatewood has officially announced his transfer to the UCF Knights from the University of Kentucky football program.
Gatewood, a former Tiger who infamously lost the QB battle to Bo Nix in 2019, will now be reuniting with the very coach who chose Nix over him, Gus Malzahn.
The Class of 2018 signal-caller, who initially committed to the Auburn football program in 2015, is now making his way to his third team in five years.
