This week, the preparation for the season begins in an official capacity as Auburn football players were scheduled to report to campus earlier this week, and fall camp gets going. The Tigers began fall camp slightly earlier this season due to their Friday night season opener against Baylor on August 29.
Head coach Hugh Freeze met with the media this morning to discuss all things Auburn football, and the biggest news was obviously that sophomore wide receiver Malcolm Simmons has been cleared to participate in team activities. He answered other questions from media members and gave an update on the health of the team heading into fall camp.
