Conference realignment is the hot topic here at FWE because the SEC seems hellbent on adding big-name opponents to the conference, and thus the calendar of Auburn football as well by proxy.
Texas and Oklahoma have made their way to the SEC already, getting all 14 program votes in a unanimous to bring America’s most competitive collegiate athletic conference to even greater heights. It seems as though more will be coming, though, considering the enormous revenue growth potential that exists in bringing even more rich Saturday traditions to the wealthiest conference in college football.
