Auburn football adds former NFL exec to scouting and personnel department

As the world of college football continues to change, teams must adapt to those changes to continue to be competitive, and the Auburn football team is working to do just that. On Wednesday, the Tigers added another staffer to the scouting and personnel department from the world of professional sports.

Former New York Jets assistant general manager Rex Hogan has been hired at Auburn to be the Director of Scouting as the Tigers try to ramp up recruiting efforts, especially with the recruiting class of 2026, which is currently ranked No. 65 overall.

Hogan served as the assistant general manager for the Jets from 2019 to 2024, overseeing both the college and pro scouting departments and playing a significant role in decisions regarding personnel evaluation.
