The decision did not sit well with the fanbase and apparently it’s not a logo but a “visual identity system.” Auburn 24/7’s Brandon Marcello was the first to report the news on Thursday that Auburn would be changing its logo. Less than 24 hours later Marcello shared a damage control statement from the university’s communications team. The team’s statement was extremely redundant and came off as a poor attempt to calm down the masses.
I can’t wait for football to start so we can see how this team rides for the visual identity system.
Auburn University reached out to tell me it's "inaccurate" to report they have a "new logo.
