The Auburn Equestrian team won it’s fifth National Championship Saturday. The Tigers did it by dominating rival Georgia 10-5. It was the program’s second NECA National title in the last three years.
Caitland Boyle was named the Most Outstanding Performer for the championship in Fences and freshman Taylor St. Jacques was Outstanding performer in Flat.
“It’s always wonderful to win a national championship, but it was also very nerve-wracking,” said coach Greg Williams. “They came here ready to ride, the whole team did.”
And what’s particularly great, the Tigers will have almost every team member back for another run at the title in 2019.
