Auburn denies former DT Antwuan Jackson Jr.’s transfer appeal

Former Auburn defensive lineman Antwuan Jackson Jr. won’t be allowed to transfer to another SEC school, as well as a few others, ahead of the 2017 season.

The State reported Saturday that Auburn denied Jackson’s appeal to lift restrictions on his transfer Friday.

Jackson, a former four-star and top-50 recruit, has been blocked by Auburn from transferring to an SEC school, Clemson, Georgia Southern, Mercer and Ohio State. Clemson, Georgia Southern and Mercer are all on Auburn’s 2017 schedule.

Jackson previously said he was given no reason why Ohio State was blocked.
