DAYTON, Ohio – The Auburn men’s basketball team tallied its best defensive performance of the season to highlight a 73-60 win at Dayton Wednesday night. The Tigers (5-1) held the Flyers (3-3) to shoot just 36 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the arc.
“It was a great win in a tremendous environment,” head coach Bruce Pearl said. “I told the team that these Dayton basketball fans are smart basketball fans – some have been here a long, long time – and they saw a really good Auburn team that played really hard, changed defenses and kept [the Flyers] off-balance.
