Well, we got by Louisiana-Monroe. It came at a bit of a price, and wasn’t nearly as easy as we thought it would be.
Auburn beat the Warhawks today 42-14, but the lead was just 14-7 at halftime and a growing list of players checked in and out of the game with minor nicks and bruises. The Tigers put up the numbers, and it won’t matter when the rankings come out tomorrow, but Auburn was clearly focused on the task next week, and still sporting an emotional hangover from the win over Georgia last Saturday.
The Tigers scored on their opening drive, a 9-play, 80-yard foray that seemed effortless and easy, and ended with an 8-yard Kerryon Johnson touchdown run.
