It appears that the Sharife Cooper hype train has slowed down considerably since it left the station during Auburn basketball’s first SEC matchup with the Alabama Crimson Tide earlier this season.

That January matchup saw an Auburn team coming off of several tough losses to begin the SEC schedule after the Tigers kicked off the season with a 6-2 non-conference schedule that included a loss to still-unbeaten and top-ranked Gonzaga on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Cooper was spectacular against ‘Bama, scoring 26 points, dropping nine dimes, and even grabbing six rebounds.
