When I wrote my season preview I predicted that Auburn would win 30-plus games, finish in the top 25 and make another NCAA Tournament appearance. Those expectations seem a bit lofty looking back, but there still is no reason why this team was as bad as it was.
I did not count on Cole Lipscomb regressing this year and having such an up-and-down season. Melvin Gray also struggled early and I was counting on him being a big part of this lineup.
Still, Josh Palacios and Niko Buentello stepped up in the lineup as newcomers giving Auburn one of the best offenses in the country with Anfernee Grier having a monster season.
