It's been a busy week for Auburn athletic director John Cohen. On Monday, Bruce Pearl announced his retirement after 11 years as the Tigers' head men's basketball coach, with his son, Steven, taking his place.
That followed a football game on Saturday that ended in a 24-17 loss for Auburn at Oklahoma, which included several controversial plays that went against the Tigers. There was a fumble recovery that Auburn returned for a touchdown that was ruled an incomplete pass. The Sooners scored a second-quarter touchdown on a play that should have earned Brent Venables' side a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty.
