Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said a move to the SEC East by the Tigers “makes sense” and that the school is open to the possibility of switching divisions.
Former coach Pat Dye brought up the topic recently — to the point where he said scrapping the Iron Bowl would be fine with him if Auburn could move to the East — and Jacobs was asked about a potential move when he appeared on WNSP-FM in Mobile, Ala.
“It make sense,” Jacobs said, as per AL.com. “If we ever had the opportunity to geographically realign, it makes sense.
