Auburn’s Gus Malzahn supposedly is on the hot seat as his team readies for the 2017 season. Does that mean he’s on shaky ground with his athletic director Jay Jacobs?
Jacobs was asked about the coach’s future on “The Opening Drive” on WJOX-FM in Birmingham, Ala., and Jacobs said he likes the direction of the football program at the moment.
“I just think change for change sake isn’t very wise sometimes,” Jacobs said. “But you have to look at each season and where you think you’re going. Sometimes stability means making a change. But I don’t see that in our future here at Auburn right now.
