The ACC could apparently look to rebrand with a new name that honors its new geography amid its lawsuit with Florida State University and Clemson University's Boards of Trustees. That's what Boston College On SI's Graham Dietz writes, anyway.
Dietz offered four replacement names: the All-Coast Conference (ACC), the Atlantic & Pacific Conference (APC), the Transcontinental Athletic Conference (TAC), the Coast-to-Coast Conference (CCC), and the East-West Athletic Conference (EWAC).
Dietz believes the Big Ten could also follow suit.
"While this is probably one of the last things on Phillips' mind currently—due to the emergence of revenue sharing and the current legal battle between the ACC, Florida State, and Clemson over distribution disputes—there should be some consideration over this topic for the sake of inclusivity," Dietz wrote.
