War Eagle, everybody! It’s time now for another Auburn opponent preview. On October 3rd, the Tigers host the San Jose State Spartans. The two teams met last year for the first time, and things didn’t go so well for the Spartans. They hung with the Tigers for about a quarter, hitting a 75 yard bomb to stay in the game. A Jermaine Whitehead interception set Auburn up to take a 21-7 lead, and the Tigers never looked back in a 59-13 rout.
Prior to this game, Auburn will have played Louisville in Atlanta, Jacksonville, then LSU in Baton Rouge before a home contest against Mississippi State.
