Auburn Football Weekend Recruiting Update: Everything You Need To Know

The Auburn Tigers saw their regular season come to a close with a loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl, but they've already amped up their efforts on the recruiting trail. Check out all the latest information you need to know Auburn Weekend Recruiting Update:

Auburn impresses 4-star DT

The Tigers are ramping up their pursuit of four-star defensive tackle Michail Carter (Jackson, GA), who visited Auburn over the weekend for the Iron Bowl. Though Auburn lost, Carter came away very impressed with the school.

"I loved it," Carter said via 247sports. "Good game, atmosphere, good place to come play football. Touching base with Coach (Rodney) Garner and Coach (Will) Muschamp, you know kind of made everything a little bit tougher for me. They want me here and love how I play. I would love to come play here as well."

Though it was just an unofficial visit, Carter said he was so impressed that he now plans to take an official visit to Auburn.

"I want to do it in December but the way all the Under Armour things are happening, so I'll probably do it in January."

The 6'4", 302-pounder is ranked as the No. 16 defensive tackle and No. 151 player in the class of 2016.

Auburn moving up list for 4-star OT

Four-star offensive tackle Landon Dickerson (Hudson, NC) was also visiting Auburn this weekend, and his experience caused the Tigers to move up his list.

“This visit really helped Auburn,” Dickerson said. “This was more of a game and academic visit and I got a lot of my questions about the engineering college answered on this visit. So that really kind of helped me. It really enlightened me, the engineering side of things and kind of where I want to take it.

“This visit for me was coming down to see a game. It’s been a really busy season for us, so I thought coming to this game probably would be the best chance to witness what the atmosphere would be like. I was very impressed with what I saw overall. I know they didn’t win but just seeing the fans and how they reacted the entire game was really great to see. It was a great thing to witness.”

Dickerson said Auburn is joined by Georgia, Alabama, Florida State, and Tennessee in his top five, and doesn't plan on making a decision until National Signing Day.

The 6'5", 293-pounder is ranked as the No. 7 tackle in the country and No. 51 player overall.

Tigers move to the top for 4-star WR

Four-star wide receiver Ahmmons Richards (West Palm Beach, FL) was also in attendance for the Iron Bowl, and the Tigers made a huge impression on him.

“It definitely put them right at the top,” Richards said. “That’s what I look for in a recruiting process -- family -- and that’s what I love about Auburn. [The visit] went really good. It went way better than I expected. It’s like a family atmosphere. I really love that I spent time with the players and coaches a lot more, and I really love it down here.”

Richards says he doesn't have a leader anymore because Auburn, who he wasn't really considering, is making him "think about it all over again." He plans to make a decision on National Signing Day.

The 6'2", 180-pounder is ranked as the No. 34 receiver and No. 183 overall player in the country.
