Auburn Football News: Injured WR D'haquille Williams Could Return This Season

Auburn Tigers wide receiver suffered a sprained ligament in his right knee during Saturday's 41-38 loss to the Texas A&M Aggies and will miss next Saturday's game against the Georgia Bulldogs, per a source cited by Brandon Marcello of AL.com.

According to Marcello, "Williams sprained the medial collateral ligament and suffered a bruised right knee when he was hit low by Texas A&M defensive back De'Vante Harris early in the second quarter of the Tigers' 41-38 loss to the Aggies, the source told AL.com."

Williams could return as soon as November 22nd against Samford, but he will likely remain questionable on the official injury report after Saturday's game against Mark Richt's crew from Athens.

Per AL.com's source on the matter, an MRI revealed that Williams didn't tear the ligament in his knee as previously feared. Coach Gus Malzahn has not officially commented on the matter as of this writing.
