In this Auburn football news and rumors update, Auburn Tigers head football coach Gus Malzahn will spend Saturday of his team's bye week helping out with CBS' college football coverage.
Per Brandon Marcello of AL.com, "Malzahn will appear on the CBS program "Inside College Football" starting at 1:30 p.m. CT and "College Football Today" at 2 p.m. CT. The coverage leads up to No. 6 Georgia facing No. 24 South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. at 2:30 p.m."
After four practices this week, the Tigers are slated to take Friday and Saturday off before returning to work on Sunday - giving Malzahn some time to test his on-camera skills in CBS' studios on Saturday.
After that? Malzahn will have to get things rolling and quickly with Thursday night's huge clash with #19 Kansas State (2-0).
"What we've tried to do is try to keep as normal routine as possible, so we're treating this as a normal week," Malzahn stated on Wednesday. "Like today being a normal Wednesday, tomorrow being a Thursday. We definitely want to give our guys a little time off this weekend and when we come back Sunday we'll treat that like a Tuesday and then we'll be on our normal routine as far as our practice."
