Atlanta United appear to be on the hunt for a defensive midfielder. Just a few days after being linked to Monterrey’s Jonathan Gonzalez, the Five Stripes are rumored to be interested in another No. 6. Todofichajes.com reports that Atlanta United are one of several teams interested in signing Sebastián Pérez from Boca Juniors.
Pérez, 27, joined Boca Juniors in 2016 but has only appeared for the club 15 times. He’s spent time on loan with Pachuca and Barcelona SC Guayaquil while under contract for the Argentine giants. The defensive-minded midfielder has also been capped eight times by the Colombia national team.
