Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almirón was voted the MLS Player of the Month presented by EA Sports by members of the media for the month of April.
The 24-year-old Paraguayan scored a league-leading five goals and added two assists in April to lead Atlanta to an unbeaten 3-0-1 record. Amlirón is tied for the league lead in goals with teammate Josef Martinez (six), tied for fourth in MLS in assists (four) and leads MLS in shots (47) through eight games. He is one of only two players in MLS with at least five goals and four assists along with New York’s Bradley Wright-Phillips.
