Atlanta United’s newest addition is just one step away from taking the field. Technical Director and Vice President announced on Thursday that Marcelino Moreno has been cleared to play for the club and is available for selection this Saturday against the New York Red Bulls (6:00 p.m. ET; FSS).
According to Bocanegra, the club had to appeal to the league to clear their new Designated Player to be able to play. Despite the news that Moreno is available for selection, the former Lanus playmaker has yet to meet or train with his new teammates thanks to the league’s 10-day protocols in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
