Atlanta United have made an adjustment to its roster on Monday evening, waiving forward Jacob Peterson.
“We want to thank Jacob for his contributions to the club and wish him luck in his future,” Carlos Bocanegra said in a statement. “He scored some big goals for us last year and he’ll always be appreciated for our expansion season.”
Peterson appeared in 10 matches for Atlanta in 2017, starting in one. His most memorable moment was his last-gasp goal at former club Sporting Kansas City that helped the Five Stripes salvage a point against their Western Conference foes.
