Atlanta United today announced it has loaned defender Fernando Meza to Defensa y Justicia of the Argentine Primera Division.
“We appreciate Fernando’s commitment to the club over the last year and wish him well during his loan stint,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said.
Meza, 30, joined Atlanta United on Jan. 10, 2020. The Argentine defender started 17 matches across all competitions last season, including 13 during the 2020 MLS Regular Season. Meza has 13 years of professional experience in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and the United States. He joined from Club Tijuana of Liga MX, after spending the 2019 season with Necaxa where he made 39 appearances.
