Concacaf announced today a new format and schedule to resume the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL). The competition will be played in a centralized location in the United States with the Quarterfinals, single-leg Semifinals and Final to be played December 15-22.
Atlanta United’s second leg Quarterfinal match against Club América will be played either December 15 or 16. Atlanta dropped the first leg 3-0 on March 11 at Estadio Azteca.
The 2020 SCCL was postponed in March, at the Quarterfinal Stage, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To resume the competition, Concacaf has developed extensive new SCCL regulations to ensure the delivery of a safe and highly controlled environment for all the players, coaches, team staff and officials who will participate.
