Atlanta United knocked out of Concacaf Champions League quarterfinal by the Philadelphia Union

Atlanta United failed to mount a three goal deficit comeback against the Philadelphia Union at Subaru Park Tuesday night. Atlanta drew the second leg of its quarterfinal matchup against Philadelphia 1-1 but lost the two legged tie 4-1.

“We came into the game with a lot of belief,” said Atlanta United midfielder Emerson Hyndman. “We thought we had chances in the last game and we could have put it away early, but just missed our chances and then got punished for it. Once we got the goal I think we had even more belief in ourselves, but unfortunately it just didn’t go our way.
