Atlanta United announced on Thursday its decisions on players that had contract options heading into the 2020 season.
Mikey Ambrose and Jose Hernandez already unveiled on social media that they would not be returning next year. Ambrose, who is out of contract, will be available for selection in the re-entry process later this month, while Hernandez, who did not have his option for 2020 picked up, is eligible for Monday’s End-of-Year Waivers draft.
Meanwhile, Chris Goslin, Justin Meram, Patrick Okonkwo, Florentin Pogba and Brek Shea were others that had their options for 2020 declined.
