Atlanta United today selected midfielder Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu of Harvard University in the third round, No. 46 overall, and goalkeeper Alex Kapp of Creighton University in the fourth round, No. 68 overall, during the final two rounds of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. Rounds No. 1 and 2 were held on Friday, Jan. 13 in Los Angeles. Rounds No. 3 and 4 were conducted today via conference call.
Wheeler-Omiunu, 22, was a four-year starter at Harvard, compiling 64 appearances, 61 starts, with four goals and six assists. He earned All-Ivy League First Team honors twice while being named team captain during his junior year.
